Ankara and Cappadocia Tour (Private Only)

A three day tour starting from Ankara and finishes in Cappadocia. On this journey you will have chance to see Anitkabir (Ataturk's Mausoleum), Museum of Anatolian Civilizations and highlighted places of the wonder of nature Cappadocia.

 

The rate includes a 2 night hotel(B&B), private transportation(air-conditioned, new and comfortable non-smoking Mercedes minibuses), Professional fluent English guide, 3 days good local lunch and all museum and historical site entrance fees. All taxes are included.

 

Day 1

Pick up from the hotel, airport or train station and tour in Ankara city. As you visit the Turkish capital, the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations offers an insight to the past civilizations and cultures of the vast Anatolian lands; and viewing the Ataturk Mausoleum, informs you about the founder of modern Turkey. Drive to Cappadocia via salt lake. Overnight in Cappadocia.

Day 2

OPTIONAL EARLY MORNING BALLOON FLIGHT OVER THE FAIRY CHIMNEYS!!

Devrent imagination valley(a lunar landscape), Zelve open air museum(houses carved in rock, Seljukian mosque & remains nearly from all the ancient civilizations), Pasabaglari(Fairy chimneys), Avanos (pottery demonstration with the Hittite tecnique), Lunch, Pigeon valley, Uchisar rock-castle, Esentepe(panoramic view of Goreme valley) and Goreme open air museum(rock cut churches, frescoes, monastery).

Day 3

09:15 pick up from the hotel. Kaymakli Underground City (See how the people lived in this multi level city complete with stables, kitchens, storage chambers and wine making rooms),

Soganli Valley (Relaxing 3km walk through the valley with Byzantine period rock tombs),

Sobesos (A Roman Bath from the 5th century and mosaics and graves from Byzantine Empire Period), Taskinpasa Medresesi (an Ottoman theological school), Keslik Monastery (Churches from 8th and 12th centuries, refectory and other complexes, used by monks.) and Mustafapasa (Experience the Ottoman and Greek architecture of this old Greek Village once called Sinasos).

 

Transfer to Kayseri or Nevsehir Airport to fly back to Istanbul or other parts of Turkey.
